Nearly 25,000 homes in Queensland's southeast found themselves without power on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems swept through the state, generating wind gusts hitting over 100 km/h.

Large Hailstones and Broad Impact

Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by significant hail.

Tuesday was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity expected across various areas of both areas.
